Congratulations Brianna Jorgenson, Winner of 2024 Manufacturing Week Award
Every October for Manufacturing Week, Watertown, South Dakota recognizes the importance of manufacturing in the community. The Watertown Development Company and the Watertown Chamber of Commerce recognize the manufacturing employees who go above and beyond no matter the circumstance for the success of the industry with the Excellence in Manufacturing Award. They received nominations from area manufacturers of employees in various categories: Machine Operators, Material Handlers, All Other Production Workers, Working Supervisors, Painters & Preppers, Production Support Workers, and Welders.
TCDC Employee Owner, Brianna Jorgenson, was selected as the Machine Operator winner. She received a certificate of her nomination and a $100 Chamber Bucks gift card. Brianna was nominated by fellow Employee Owners, Melina Amberg and Molly Heaton. Last week, TCDC shut down CNC production to recognize and surprise Brianna with her award.
Brianna joined the company with little to no manufacturing experience. Within five months, she was recognized for learning nearly all of the CNC machines, which is a difficult task to accomplish in such a short time. Brianna has the ability to run multiple machines without compromising part quality and production efficiencies.
TCDC recently introduced a new part into production. With her strong work ethic, Brianna was identified as the operator to take the lead running this new part. Even with the issues of this new part, she maintained a positive attitude and a friendly demeanor. It’s rare to ever see Brianna in a bad mood.
"Brianna is one of our most reliable operators and is the first to volunteer to work overtime on Fridays. She is committed, engaged, and driven for the success of our organization. She makes us better every day."
Thank you, and congratulations, Brianna!
